As we realized how unique MacGregors were, and especially after the water ballast systems were perfected by Roger, we became gradually a MacGregor-only dealership some 20 years ago and have continued to be so today, following the old adage of "Do one thing, and do it well."

This capsule history of our past relationship with MacGregor sailboats will help you understand how we are able to do what we do, which is bring a whole new definition to the term training. We believe that there is no place that you can go to purchase a MacGregor where you will get as much experience, variety of conditions, or as vast a wealth of knowledge about these boats.

We know about boat building. The Arena family's Arena Craft powerboats were the first production inboard-engine fiberglass boat in the world, back in 1955. We know about performance. Prior to the 1950's, the Arena brothers were famous race boat designers and drivers, with many world records.

We know about sailing. You are trained by someone who learned to sail single-handed at the age of 7, has a public school teaching background, and 13 years of flight instruction under his belt (Sailboats are actually sideways airplanes, you know!).

And we know about training. We do not and will not let anyone out of here without full and complete training on everything that is associated with owning one of these boats, and doing it, if necessary, by themselves with no help; regardless of his or her physical prowess. (Yes there is a Santa Claus!!)

How do we do this? Simple. We do nothing else. We don't care about being the largest dealership, or about how many people we have running around. We only care about being the best at what we do. We are completely hands-on and in-house, and are capable of getting it all done with just the two of us. It's in our blood and who we are, having been messing around with boats since we could walk.

It's important that we put each and every item on the boats ourselves without a middleman being involved, and you'll always know who you're dealing with us.  We like it this way, and a pleasant result of our way of doing business is that we can keep our pricing very reasonable without worrying about excess overhead.  (Being that busy certainly keeps us out of trouble, if nothing else.)
